Field Service Engineer (M/W)

Steris offers Customers a unique mix of innovative capital equipment products, such as sterilizers and washers, surgical tables, lights and equipment management systems and connectivity solutions such as operating room integration; consumable products such as detergents and gastrointestinal endoscopy accessories, dental instruments and other products; services, including equipment installation and maintenance, microbial reduction of medical devices, instrument and scope repair solutions, laboratory services and off-site reprocessing.

Duties

The duties of the Field Service Engineer are:

• Performing technical service, both preventative and break fix repair 
• Leading installation projects of new equipment combined with correct documentation and on-site instruction of hospital staffing, both users and technical staff, in collaboration with the team
• Maintaining Field Service inventory of replacement parts. Return defective material in a timely manner, and order replacements in accordance with company policy
• Performing E-mail, telephone and remote support for customers if needed
• Providing feedback on equipment performance and service processes 
• Ensuring a superior level of customer satisfaction with regards to after sales support
• Performing other duties as assigned

The position is field based, with a minimal monthly visit to the office in Maastricht Airport

Required Experience

• Technical education (Electronics, Mechanics, Instrumentation) or a proven Track Record on either one of the areas
• Minimum 3-year experience in a similar job in medical device industry
• Excellent communicative skills in Dutch and English. French is an advantage
• Solid computer (MS Office) and networking skills to effectively use Windows based software
• Well organized, able to work independently, attention to detail, team player

Working Conditions

Compensation and Benefits:

• gross annual salary: between 58k-65k€ (on 13.92 months)
• variable pay: Incentive Compensation Plan of 10% based on performance criteria (individual and collective)
