Position Summary
As a Supply Chain Summer Assistant you will be responsible work closely with the Materials department to design and implement a well-organized supermarket system. This initiative will involve creating a series of detailed kanban cards, which will facilitate efficient inventory management and streamline workflow processes.
Shift: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday (May-August 2026)
What you will do as a Supply Chain Summer Assistant
Computer tasks involve a range of activities, including accurate data entry, the creation of various forms, the design of kanban cards for efficient workflow management, and the development of comprehensive work instructions.
Conduct training sessions for team members and carry out audits to ensure compliance with the newly implemented processes.
Be prepared for additional assignments that may arise based on workload and availability, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Engage in hands-on work that includes light lifting, maintaining cleanliness in the workspace, and responding to various miscellaneous requests to support overall team operations.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities
Required:
Educational Background: Must possess a High School Diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate, demonstrating foundational academic skills and knowledge.
Typing Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate strong typing skills, with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute, ensuring efficiency in data entry and communication tasks. Proficiency in proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting is highly valued.
Other:
College student pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree
Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Has excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Possesses effective presentation skills for both large and small groups.
Displays strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software products.
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required, ideally in an office environment or a role that involves administrative support. This experience should include familiarity with standard office procedures and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Pay range for this opportunity is $18 - $20. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
