Position Summary
Oversees personnel within the Manufacturing Coordinator department, ensuring precise and timely documentation as well as operational support across Production Operations—including Processing, Packaging, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, and Aseptic Production. Develops individualized development plans for each direct report to align team capabilities with future needs, organizational changes, and departmental growth opportunities. Manages batch record flow and holds ultimate responsibility for any product-release delays related to documentation and inventory. Supervises all reporting for receiving, production, and inventory control for contract manufacturers (toll manufacturers), including direct-ship sales receipts and coordination of monthly cycle counts. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of material flow and general plant operations. Provides guidance to supervisors and floor personnel regarding inventory and documentation matters. Participates actively on new system and product development teams. Acts as the primary liaison for both internal and external auditors concerning assigned responsibilities. Is accountable for the safety, quality, and productivity of the department while supporting lean transformation initiatives through participation in rapid improvement implementation teams.
What You'll Do as a Supervisor of Manufacturing Coordination
- Serves as the point person for designing and maintaining reporting tools (e.g., databases/spreadsheets) that capture key manufacturing efficiency metrics (yields, waste, product loss, deviations, batch corrections, rework, and training metrics).
- Manages the production filter inventory database in conjunction with vendor-provided cycle counts. Responsible for ordering and receiving filters. Analyzes data to establish min/max levels and reorder points. Accountable for ensuring production is not delayed due to inventory shortages.
- Conducts weekly reviews of the Product Cost Analysis to ensure inventory and financial accuracy. Analyzes variances, determines root causes, and makes corrections as needed. Provides weekly summary reports to the management team.
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of production models used by Materials Planning for schedule development.
- Evaluates Time and Activity reports for packaging and processing. Reviews data for accuracy and uses results to establish run times entered into production models.
- Manages documentation flow throughout the manufacturing process to support timely product release. Investigates release delays and implements corrective and preventive actions to reduce future hindrances.
- Responsible for production reporting, receiving, reconciliation, and inventory control for all contract manufacturers, including completion of required cycle counts at each site.
- Mentors supervisors and floor personnel on inventory and documentation practices. Provides SOP and inventory-system training to manufacturing personnel, as applicable.
- Provides daily support to floor personnel related to inventory systems and documentation, including coordination of software and hardware issue resolution.
- Ensures direct staff training is up to date on relevant SOPs and maintains training files.
- Participates in internal and external audits by providing requested data and responding to findings related to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Supports Engineering, Marketing, and Quality in the development of new systems and product lines, and in sourcing activities related to manufacturing, by participating on cross-functional project teams.
- Contributes to the development and enhancement of the Oracle (PRISM) inventory system.
- Provides backup support for review of SOPs, PSs, MIs, and OIs in PLM for accuracy, and completes required signature tasks.
- Performs daily cycle counts in the absence of the Senior Inventory Auditor.
- Supports the Associate Value Stream Manager by helping plan, direct, and coordinate the Daily Cycle Count program and by analyzing problem counts to maintain site physical-inventory control. Responsible for reconciliation activities and reporting results to upper management, as needed.
- Supports Associate Value Stream Manager with on-site coordination of Sarbanes Oxley financial audits, both internal and external, for the St. Louis Site and participates in both the financial and IT audits. Takes the lead with auditors in the absence of the Associate Manager.
- Helps facilitate the Disposition Process and Procedures for all disposition material in PRISM inventories.
- Manages the performance of all direct reports by coaching and mentoring to ensure the accurate and timely completion of tasks and support to Manufacturing.
- Maintains and tracks individual development plans for each direct report, including progress against goals, to support readiness for future changes and opportunities within the Operations department.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
Required:
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing accounting
- 1-2 years experience in FDA/cGMP/ISO manufacturing regulations
- 3-5 years Microsoft Word and Excel experience
- Oracle experience preferred
- Background in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement

- Leadership experience

Pay range for this opportunity is $68,637.50 - $88,825.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
