The Role
RFP (Request for Proposal) & Contracts Specialist is responsible for the coordination of Canadian contracts and RFP management. The specialist will work with key business partners such as Sales, Marketing and legal to ensure successful end-to-end management of RFPs and Contracts with professional application of project management skills as well as supporting all levels of stakeholders until the completion of submission.
This is a hybrid position. The RFP & Contracts Specialist is expected to be in the office ( in Richmond Hill, ON-Canada) 2 days per week.
What You Will Do
- Assist stakeholders with the strategic management of the contracts calendar taking into account the entire Canadian perspective
- Act as project manager in all Canadian contracts and RFPs
- Use sound business judgement to ensure consistency amongst contracts/RFPs within Canada
- Determine when there is a need to escalate issues to appropriate teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, Business leaders, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with STERIS SOPs, applicable laws, regulations and standards
- Review RFP requirements and assign specific sections/questions to appropriate teams
- Update and maintain database of executed contracts and mainting contract calendar
- Support the RFP and Contracts team in the process whenever necessary
What You Need To Be Successful
- Associate degree and 2 years experience in Contracts and RFPs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and be able to balance the needs and requirements of many stakeholders including senior management
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work proficiently with limited supervision
