Position Summary
The 2025 Summer Intern will gain experience in mechanical engineering and will be an active member of the Infection Prevention Technologies (IPT) Mechanical Engineering Team. This individual will assist in supporting new product development of medical capital equipment while working under the guidance of STERIS Engineers.

Duties
- Assist in designing, developing, documenting and executing mechanical and/or electromechanical solutions for sub-systems and components to meet company, team and group goals.
- Work with solid models (CREO) and engineering drawings.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Work as a collaborative team member in engineering projects.
- Follow industry codes, standards, and recommendations.
- Organize and document testing and product development process.
- Research various technologies and materials.
- Communicate results and findings.
Experience + Skills
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Successful completion of sophomore year requirements by internship start date (May 2025)
- Has a fundamental understanding and application of mechanical engineering principles.
- Organizational, communication, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- A GPA of 3.4 or above preferred.
