Position Summary
The Material Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination of work within or between departments of the value stream to expedite production by performing the following duties: Build Schedule Coordination, Expediting, Reporting and Analysis, Inventory Management, MRP Maintenance, Capacity Planning.
Shifts: 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:00am-11:00am Friday

Duties
- Responsible for insuring the ongoing and uninterrupted flow of materials to support manufacturing requirements at all times and under any conditions.
- In conjunction with Corporate Planning, Manufacturing Supervisors, and other pertinent personnel, prepare and distribute Build Schedules.
- Prioritizes, schedules, and expedite critical jobs to satisfy business goals and customer demands.
- Provides inputs to corporate planning on shipment schedules, plans and forecast based on capacity. (S&OP process).
- Coordinates Engineering Change Requests (ECA’s) to ensure stock balancing activities occur properly to eliminate slow-moving/obsolete inventory.
- Constantly maintain, evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in material requirements planning (MRP) to drive down inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions to support value stream.
- Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies.
- Performs extensive data entry.
- Review and print incoming shop orders to the production floor, order C-Stock, issue Special Manufacturing Request (SMR) and/or unplanned tickets.
- Responsible for creating, measuring, disseminating and presenting statistical data and variance reporting and analysis.

Education Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- College degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, a working knowledge of Shop Floor Control and AS400 system and Oracle preferred.
- Direct hands on experience in an MRP systems environment required.
- Key competencies include sound business judgment and decision making.
- Prior Materials Management experienced preferred.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks to ensure timely completion of job responsibilities.
- Ability to work with all employees at all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and help drive change.
- Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience desired.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and specifications.
