Position Summary
The Switchboard & Facilities Coordiantor is the first STERIS representative that anyone who calls STERIS Corporation has direct contact with. In this role, they must represent the company in a professional and courteous manner. The incumbent will maintain proper telephone etiquette and transfer calls to the appropriate employees and/or departments. This position requires additional duties from time to time as needed. Must be a team player. Provide administrative technical security functions for various designated tasks including Global Records Retention, Facilities Maintenance coordination and technical department information sharing.
Monday - Friday, onsite at our US HQ in Mentor OH
This position may require additional or special hours based on scheduled events.
What You'll Do as a Switchboard & Facilities Coordinator
- Answers all incoming calls and directs them to the proper party following procedures prescribed by management.
- Forward to proper parties confidential, emergency, and special calls related to OSHA, FDA, EPA and law enforcement.
- Takes messages when party or secretary does not answer phone and forwards message as soon as a person is available.
- Gives directions and instructions to people traveling to STERIS facility
- Assist with coordination of corporate Contact Phone List for all of the Mentor facilities and multiple other locations.
- Provide support/ relief to the CSC Lobby Coordinator;

- Greet and register visitors (utilizing our visitor management system) and advise appropriate employee of Customers, visitors and contractor’s arrival.
- Provide safety awareness briefing to incoming Customers, visitors and contractors through the safety video, evacuation procedures and briefing materials.
- Brief Customers and visitors regarding the corporation’s Visitor and Contractor Policies, Facility & Safety awareness.
- Ensure the entire lobby area is always organized, neat and efficient.
- Support as needed, visitor coordination tasks for the Customer Solutions Center
- Assist with onboarding activities at the Mentor Campus, including badge creation in System Galaxy, access control setup, and seating management workflows in Eptura
- Assist with integration of new business phone systems
- Provide administrative and coordinator assistance to Global Facilities and Real Estate, and Customer Solutions Center employees. This would include proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, applications.
- Manage and owns the global associate directory
- First Response emergency call coordination for all of Mentor Campus
- Complete Special mail routing coordination for new acquisitions
- Support the STERIS records management standards for our businesses and functional groups, as well Associates.
- Support and coordinate the Evacuation Accountability Documentation.
- Organizes and maintains miscellaneous department files, prepares correspondence, reports, various databases and spreadsheets, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Supports Corporate or facility functions and events to improve overall Customer experience.
- Support and coordinate data and information with shared management duties for Global Records Retention under Global Facilities and Real Estate.
- Assist with coordination of corporate Contact Phone List for all of the Mentor facilities and multiple other locations.
- Assists with publishing and management of Global Facilities & Real Estate data and content creation for documentation and storage on share drives and internal STERIS Global Facilities and Real Estate intranetor Teams site.
- Assist with utility service management, including service coordination, addressing disruptions and maintaining accurate documentation across all sites.
- Performs other various coordination duties as assigned by manager
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 3+ years of customer service experience is required
Other:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and judgment.
- A self starter and ability to managing numerous tasks at the same time independently.
- Strong organization and planning skills as well as attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules, needs and requirements of CSC Customers, guests, and contractors.
- Demonstrates a professional and positive approach in all interactions (Customers, employees, vendors suppliers)
- Understands, enjoys and is comfortable and confident working with various types of technology – including Microsoft Integration, IT Platforms and security equipment.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong sense for fiscal responsibility.

Pay range for this opportunity is $35,062.50 - $45,375.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
