Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager will create diverse global marketing strategies enterprise-wide, and lead product lifecycle management (product concept through post-commercialization) activities, and define product roadmaps to drive product line growth across various country markets throughout the globe (e.g. countries in North America, Latin America, EMEA).   The individual will collaborate with various global stakeholders, including country-specific commercial and sales managers, marketing communications, regulatory, quality and manufacturing to ensure that market needs are met, developed and executed to ensure profitable growth within designated product portfolios. 

 

  • This position is based in Mentor, Ohio with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.  You will work onsite 3 days per week.
  • Domestic travel required, 25%. 
  • International travel required.

What You Will Do as Senior Product Manager

  • Partner closely with the Downstream Market Manager to develop global marketing strategies for the designated product line, ensuring alignment with business unit strategies and objectives and supporting revenue, margin, and market share goals.
  • Lead upstream market analysis in collaboration with the Downstream Market Manager, leveraging detailed insights on market trends, segment sizes, growth opportunities, competitive landscape, feasibility, profitability, product positioning, Voice of the Customer, and market environment to inform product strategy and downstream execution.
  • Own the development of product positioning and value proposition, co‑creating messaging frameworks with the Downstream Market Manager to ensure consistency across commercial, marketing, and sales enablement activities.
  • Collaborates with the Downstream Market Manager to deliver products to market, ensuring effective handoff and alignment across strategic marketing, communications, promotions, training, and launch activities that support long‑term brand and product growth.
  • Provides strategic input into business plans, key metrics, and annual budgets
  • Leads recommendations for global NPD and Sustaining project prioritization
  • Select manage, and develop Product Managers and/or Associate Product Managers
  • Establish and embody best practices within the Product Management team, ensuring structured collaboration models, handoffs, and decision frameworks with the Downstream Market Management function.
  • May support more complex product lines or multiple complex portfolios, serving as a Product Management subject matter expert.

 

Supervision

  • This position will have direct reports.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • 10 years of relevant business experience of which 7 years should be in Product Management /Marketing
  • 2 years of International business and marketing experience required

Preferred

  • MBA strongly preferred 
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring junior product managers
  • Healthcare Industry/sector experience preferred
  • Medical device product marketing experience preferred
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred 

Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated effective strategy implementation, planning, analytical, organizational, leadership, employee development, and project management skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated business acumen, including financial, market , and industry trends, and market analytics
  • Proven initiative and success working independently

Pay range for this opportunity is $124,737.50 - $161,425.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
