Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist partners with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions.  Will work in conjunction with senior HR partners of the business group.  

 

The Senior HR Generalist partners with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions. Will work in conjunction with senior HR partner of business group. Specific areas of influence include talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation/salary administration, training and development, compliance, and special projects. Interfaces with plant and department management in assuring the delivery of all Human Resources initiatives.

What you will do as a Senior HR Generalist:

  • Employee Relations/Performance Management – Consult/coach managers as they handle performance issues and talent development needs. Directly handle ER issues, conduct investigations and recommend solutions.
  • Support HR leadership team – HR research, project support, reporting/analytics, and champion HR initiatives.
  • Training – HR orientation and facilitate other HR training sessions as needed.
  • Recruiting – full lifecycle support. May partner with central recruiting team to guide selection process with assigned areas.
  • No direct reports but will delegate tasks to others and oversee performance of HR support team.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed:

 

Required:

  • Bachelors in HR, Business Admin, Behavioral Sciences, Org Development.
  • 4 years' Human Resources experience.
  • 3 years of experience must include recruiting, ER, performance management, and training and development.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, ATS).
  • Position requires working onsite in Mentor, OH.
  • Minimal travel requires once or twice per year.

Preferred:

  • Masters / MBA Degree.
  • PHR Certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, and/or distribution centers.

Other Skills:

  • Knowledge and application of current HR trends, best practices and compliance issues.
