Position Summary
Job Description Summary:
Assist with the development, configuration, testing, implementation, and technical support of PLM applications supporting the Service business teams. Work with business team members to translate user requirements into system design specifications, develop code, perform testing, investigate and resolve issues, and monitor production systems. Investigate known bugs on software vendor support website, create tickets or service requests with software vendor, work with technical team, test fixes and coordinate changes to production. Work on development requests and projects. Responsible for software development tasks. Schedule tasks, manage user expectations, meet project and key initiative deadlines. Interact with business users to gather requirements, design technical solutions, unit testing programs, user testing, documentation and implementation. Support development of reports, alerts, workflows, interfaces and data conversion programs. Develop and submit budget proposals and funding requests. Research, evaluate and recommend software, hardware and cloud technologies. Perform testing and evaluation, including development lab activities for new technology solutions. Interface with software vendors and internal accounting department to facilitate the purchase of hardware and software. Design, configure and implement departmental I.T. technology systems. Create test plans and test cases, execute test scripts, and record results. Create and maintain system documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS, Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: IT application development; Software design, data modeling, development, testing and implementation; Product Lifecycle Management (PLM); Windchill vaulting and workflow functionality; JSON; Java; J2EE; JSP; HTML5; XML; XSLT (Basic); JavaScript; Python; and RDBMS.
