Position Summary

Responsible for helping businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. Provide technical expertise, and produce specifications for any gaps in the application, interfaces and data conversions. Continually grow knowledge of supported technology and product areas to have a clear understanding of current / future technology requirements of a business partner. Maintain and support the applications. Work with offshore resources to develop programs. Apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving. Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups. Provide any ad hoc activities related to the projects and not limited to the above activities. Professionalism and cooperation when working with customers, team members and management are essential.

Duties

Project Leadership and Management - 50%
•    Provide liaison between business teams and development team. 
•    Serve as business analyst and project lead on technical projects based on the business plan. 
•    Create and submit proposals, and implement approved project plans.
•    Develops and submits budget proposals and funding requests. 
Design, Develop and Configure Systems – 25%
•    Researches, evaluates and recommends software, hardware and cloud technologies.
•    Performs testing and evaluation, including development lab activities for new technology solutions.
•    Interfaces with software vendors and internal accounting department to facilitate the purchase of hardware and software. 
•    Designs, configures and implements departmental I.T. technology systems.
Technical Support, System Administration and Maintenance - 25%
•    Maintain standardization and documentation of technology and processes.
•    Develops and implements training plans to support applications as required.
•    Provide technical support and maintenance of I.T. systems.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve problems with system configurations and hardware.
•    Provide escalation support for System Administrators.
 

Required Experience

•    Four-year degree in Information Technology or equivalent vocational field is required.
•    7+ years in all phases of software development lifecycle
•    5+ years of experience in developing/supporting applications in Microsoft technologies
•    4+ years of experience in project management
•    Experience working in an Agile environment
•    1 year of Mobile Apps development is a plus
•    1 year of Microsoft Azure is a plus

•    Design and development experience in Enterprise level Microsoft technology applications 
•    Understanding of UI technologies such as CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and common scripting packages such as jQuery
•    Experience in developing and designing applications and web API in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API gateways
•    Experience in web application security practices and techniques and experience in remediation of potential application security threats
•    Experience with GIT and build tools (Quickbuild, Bamboo); Project management in Jira
•    Knowledge of Oracle ERP or other ERP systems
•    Solid business acumen and deep understanding of business processes in CRM and customer-facing applications
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and conflict management skills
•    Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of technical team members.
•    Ability to work in a matrix team environment with both internal and 3rd party development teams (onshore / offshore).
•    Experience working in a variety of development methodologies including Agile / SCRUM or other Iterative methodologies
