Position Summary

The Region Specialist is responsible for driving and managing the operational functions of the assigned region’s consumable, capital, and service parts business handled by Dealer Partners. This role works in close partnership with Dealers, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure the timely and efficient execution of orders. In addition, the Region Specialist provides support to STERIS entities and subsidiaries in administrative and transactional processes for all regional sales offices within the assigned Area.

 

The position is responsible for completing all projects accurately, on time, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements as well as contractual terms and conditions. The Region Specialist reports directly to the Manager while collaborating closely with the Operations Team on projects and order management activities. Furthermore, this role is responsible for making Region Sales Support decisions in the absence of the Manager and works closely with sales teams across assigned regions to ensure alignment with key business priorities.

 

**This is a remote position. Qualified candidates must currently be located in the Continental U.S. with a preference for Eastern and Central time zones.

What You'll Do as a Region Specialist

  • STERIS liaison for Region business
  • Develops and maintains business relationship with Customers and Dealers while providing excellent Customer Service
  • Works in partnership with Dealers primarily through email
  • Professionally responds to price quotes, product questions and issues, and all other Region inquiries.
  • Manages consumable, capital, and service parts order backlog of business.
  • Measures, reviews, and gathers data on the performance of order management and logistics.
  • Assigns business tasks to responsible supporting functions.
  • Coordinate tasks among Dealers, Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, Traffic, Credit and Regulatory and follows up to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinates product shipment from various plant and vendor locations to designated delivery point.
  • Responsible for financial decisions with authority for expediting and consolidation costs.
  • Facilitates Dealer commission through collaboration with Finance and Sales to guarantee Dealer commissions are accrued accurately and with Credit and Accounts Payable to ensure proper payment of commissions.
  • Provides feedback and project updates to the Manager and Operations Team on a regular basis.
  • Investigate product complaints and work with Regulatory to ensure timely action and resolution.
  • Work with Regulatory, Dealers and Sales to facilitate registration of STERIS products in Region.
  • 10% travel expected to develop Dealer relationships.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business or business discipline required
  • 2 to 4 years business experience with direct contact with Customers, Vendors and Sales
  • 2 years international business experience
  • 1 to 2 years project management experience

Preferred: 

  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • Role is listed as remote with a preference for the candidate to reside in the EST time zone

Pay range for this opportunity is $52,250.00 - $56,000.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
