Position Summary
The IT Applications Intern will receive hands-on experience supporting a cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related custom applications. The intern will gain practical exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), documenting requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting application configuration, supporting laboratory workflows, testing the application in an enterprise IT environment.

- Work Environment: Hybrid
- Hours: Full-time for the duration of your internship
What You'll Do as an IT Applications Intern
- Assist with monthly application change releases under the guidance of other team members
- Work with onsite and offshore teams to implement changes required for the release
- Execute system and regression testing and document test results
- Support development and configuration tasks for the LIMS and related applications
- Assist in documenting requirements, changes, and system updates
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant major. Sophomore year requirements must be completed by program start (May 2026)
- Experience programming in .NET or Java
- Experience with JavaScript, with exposure to vue.js or react.js
- Knowledge of SQL or relational databases
Preferred:
- STEM exposure through projects or coursework (biology, biochemistry, life sciences, etc.)
Other:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication
Pay range for this opportunity is $20-25/hr.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
