Position Summary
The IT PLM team has a responsibility to implement and maintain software applications to support STERIS R&D and Service. Applications in this area include Windchill PLM, Arbortext Content Delivery, Jama Connect (ALM), and PTC Navigate. Client-side tools that interact with these applications include Creo, SolidWorks, Creo Illustrate, Arbortext, and Titania Web Editor. STERIS is embarking on several projects to greatly expand the usage of these applications and tools. This position will be focused on supporting these applications to assist with this expansion.
The IT Applications Analyst will assist with the development, configuration, testing, implementation, and technical support of PLM applications supporting the Service and R&D business teams. They will work with business team members to translate user requirements into system design specifications, develop code, perform testing, investigate and resolve issues, and monitor production systems.
Duties
- Participates with the PLM application team to develop, configure, and resolve issues with PTC Windchill/SIM, and Arbortext Content Delivery application areas.
- Builds Windchill customizations and workflows; maintains system properties, custom files, and services.
- Identifies, assesses, and documents business requirements, and provides recommendations to the business based on alternatives, risks, costs, and benefits.
- Facilitates business requirement definition and specification with business teams.
- Creates test plans and test cases, executes test scripts, and records results
- Research to determine if existing solutions can be leveraged to resolve business problems or provide alternatives to build/buy automated solutions.
- Gain familiarization with Arbortext Editor, and Creo Illustrate and understand how they are utilized in structured content creation and delivery.
- Analyze and provide impact analysis for recommended solutions.
- Provides input to the development of business use cases and test cases.
- Assists with Service-related projects in the PLM area.
- Facilitates implementation of new functionality through demos with business teams.

Education Degree
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering.
- Requires 5 years experience in the IT application development area.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience with PTC Windchill SIM, Arbortext Content Delivery, and content creation/management tools such as Arbortext is preferred.
- Required: 3 years working experience with programming languages such as Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML5, XML, XSLT (Basic), JavaScript, Python, DITA Arbortext (Configuration & customization), and RDBMS.
- Familiar with software tools and techniques such as AngularJS 2, jQuery, JSON, LESS(Basic), and REST.
- Understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts.
- Experience with software design, data modeling, development, testing, and implementation.
- Effectively interacts and presents management alternatives.
- Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately to resolve business issues.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Functional business knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Service Information Management (SLM).
- PTC Windchill technical knowledge of Windchill vaulting and workflow functionality. #LI-KS1
