Position Summary

Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 1:30am


Supports manufacturing functions to produce medical devices in a FDA regulated and controlled environment. Provides support to Supervisor and department employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.


  • Problem solve process deviations and equipment issues through observations and follow Team Lead standard work.
  • Assist Supervisor with electronic editing of time clock entries, SQDC Board Updates, 5S Audits, Idea Board, Value Stream meeting and SQDC Board presentation
  • Prepare for and/or lead start-up and shift-end handoff meetings.
  • Maintain strong lines of communication with all applicable personnel across all shifts. 
  • Able to effectively train employees on standard work and operating procedures within the department. 
  • Work with the Supervisor to manage and assign daily work schedule and job duties to employees
  • Perform other duties as needed.


  • Activate, set-up and operate labeling equipment, autobaggers, robots, welder, laser, etc. (as applicable to department).
  • Complete and turn in accurate paperwork.
  • Communicate raw material stock levels as needed.
  • Promote and provide a safe working environment.
  • Promote an effective working team environment.
  • Know, adhere to, and reinforce Shop Practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment.

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

Must have at least five years manufacturing experience assembling small parts and/or leadership experience.


  1. Communication: Ability to read, understand, interpret and communicate oral and written instruction in English. 
  2. Reasoning Ability:  Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving part and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.  Ability to identify and trouble shoot problems and demonstrate good decision making.
  3. Leadership Ability: Ability to work well with people, maintain approachability and consistency, and foster a positive work environment.
  4. Computer Skills: Ability to communicate electronically and demonstrate basic computer skills. 
  5. Mathmatical Skills: Intermediate arithmetic and calculation skills required.
