Position Summary

Updates stock records and related information in Oracle to monitor the accuracy of inventory levels. Performs inventory transactions and manages daily cycle counting and monthly inventory reporting.

This position is actively on the warehouse floor sitting at a cubicle desk area. 

Duties

1.Support and train Inventory Control Specialists on current and new processes

2. Assist in setup of new distribution functions including racking, locators, and VLM’s

3. Support and coordinate below duties for other distribution centers as assigned

4. Schedule and coordinate complete daily cycle counts which includes the physical count tasks including report preparation, monitoring physical counting, reconciliation, and date entry.

5. Ensure all daily inventory transactions are accurately and promptly entered into Oracle and maintain records.

6. Generate monthly expired lot report and supervise the physical movement of stock to correct locations and sub inventory’s and perform Oracle transactions and system reports.

7. Generate monthly cycle count report to include total items, pieces, dollars counted, and all adjustments

8. Monitor inventory transactions to develop and/or recommend improvements in inventory procedures and work instructions.

9. Assists in shipping complaint handling including input, research, and reporting to Manager

0. Reviews, monitors, investigates, and reports on inventory that is in the On Hold and Review areas.

11. Works with Distribution, Purchasing, and Customer Service to provide assistance with inventory variances and shipping complaints.

12. Provides locator set up function in Oracle for incoming items that do not have a location assigned.

13. Process inspection receipts utilizing the AS400 systems and performs sub inventory transfers in Oracle

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

1. Minimum 5 years of inventory control and warehousing.

2. Working knowledge of inventory transactions and record keeping.

3. Must possess effective communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of the Distribution organization
