Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be critical in the build out and maintenance of Business Unit and Franchise analytics. Responsibilities include partnering with the appropriate functional areas to obtain relevant information, and to present that information a way that drives meaningful business discussions around past performance, as well as future forecast expectations. This role will be driving monthly Business Unit reviews with senior leadership. This role will focus on Sales and Gross Margin and will assist in driving the annual Plan process.
Des Plaines, IL based hybrid position. Working a minimum of 3 days a week from the HuFriedyGroup office is expected with the ability to be in the office more as needed.
What you will do as a Senior Financial Analyst:
- Coordinate monthly business reviews for each Business Unit
- Responsible for EBITDA walk elements and other financial KPI’s within each Business Unit
- Implement forecast process and reviews with functional leaders
- Partner with functional leads on annual and strategic plans
- Ad Hoc analysis as necessary to support BU & Regional leaders
- Support daily/weekly/monthly reporting
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other quantitative Field
- 5+ years in FP&A, Cost Accounting, Commercial Finance or some combination thereof
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment is highly desired
- Knowledge and/or demonstrated use of business reporting and financial systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Excel, OneStream, Cognos, etc.)
- Strong resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Advanced Excel and data management (Access, Alteryx, etc.) skills
- Dashboarding experience a plus
- Knowledge of and skilled in manipulating large amounts of data into meaningful information
- Ability to be a self-starter; excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many tasks simultaneously
- Customer service orientation is mandatory
