Position Summary

Account Management role to facilitate achievement of UK IPT sales and profit objectives. Sells the complete range of STERIS Capital products to NHS, private Hospitals and distributors within assigned sales territory. Ensures high customer satisfaction and maintains sound relations through correspondence and/or personal contact. Providing timely reporting of weekly and monthly events.  Identifies and specifies opportunities for future STERIS products, markets and new applications for current product and technology which is updated and maintained in an accurate pipeline. Supports, Project Manager, Consumable and Service colleagues. Focus on developing relationships with Key opinion leaders.Focus on establishing strong relationships with both NHS and Private Healthcare organisations, such as, Nuffield, BMI, Ramsay and etc and engage all other STERIS staff to maximise sales.

  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and yearly sales budget for designated geography through the proactive sales of STERIS product lines.  Manage time, travel and sales activities to maximise effectiveness on a monthly basis.  Identifies top prospect accounts to focus activities effectively each month.
  • Manage customer expectations and maintain sound customer relations through timely responses to customer enquiries via accurate and timely communication.  
  • Responsible for timely, accurate reporting of weekly and monthly sales events. Business planning and pipeline management.
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as are periodically assigned or requested.
  • Complies with the spirit of and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies.  His/her attitude and behaviour reinforce company policies and programmes by exhibiting and expecting the higher standards of performance and professional conduct.  Undertakes and defines a programme of self-development.
Required Experience

    Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills. Documented sales experience, preferred NHS healthcare decontamination or associated mechanical engineering discipline with capital equipment sales experience and higher education/Degree preferred.
    Proven experience within a sales environment is essential.
    Healthcare experience within a Medical Equipment Standards control environment is essential.
    Understanding of the NHS and its sales process is essential.
