Position Summary
Supports Tool Room functions to meet production demands while maintaining safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read and comprehend instructions, prints and drawings
- Assembles dies, fixtures, and punches
- Run machines such as surface grinders, manual vertical mills, and engine lathes
- Maintain proper conduct to promote and provide a safe working environment.
- Take measurements with micrometers, calipers, and venires
- Aid Maintenance Dept. with PM’s as required
- Aid Molding Dept. with PM’s and Mold Tooling as required
- Help with design of molds and fixtures
- Troubleshoots and problem solves applicable equipment and fixtures
- Other duties as required by management

Qualifications/Competencies

Language/Communication Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and
safety rules. Ability to understand oral and written instruction in English.

Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instruction.
Mathmatical Skills
Know decimal equivalent of fractions and able to use a calculator
Other Skills and Abilities
Mechanical aptitude and competence with hand tools are required as well
as a basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics.
Education Degree
Required Experience
Education and/or Experience
Minimum 5 years hands on machining experience
2 Years in a vocational school a plus
CNC experience recommended but not required
