Our Sterile Processing Technicians take pride in their work because they know it plays an important role in patient safety, and every patient is someone’s loved one on the table. Our Sterile Processing Technicians work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing. When healthcare facilities need the help of product experts, they call us because they know our technicians are continuously trained on industry best practices.

Duties

  • Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next case
  • Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets
  • Participate in regular on-site training

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Sterile Processing/Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  2. 2+ years of SPD experience with demonstrated proficiency in all SPD Technician responsibilities, including a solid proficiency and ability to work independently with all tray sets.
  3. CRCST or CSPDT certification is required. Must also obtain CIS, CER/CFER, or STERIS Assessment certification within 12 months of hire.  
    1. Both certifications must be maintained annually.
    2. Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours each year.
  4. Able to perform all job requirements of both a Technician I and Technician II.
  5. Leadership discretion based on satisfactory performance, validation of skill level. Productivity, quality and attendance must meet company standards, including performance rating of successful or above in all areas.

 Pay range for this opportunity is $19.71 - $27.51.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
