Position Summary

CNC production lead will assist the supervise in leading a specific production area.  Managing priorities, maintaining equipment and create a skilled, engaged workforce. Position also requires knowledge of CNC equipment to provide a quality and quantity that meets quality and drawing requirements. Increase the OEE, reduce scrape rate while maintaining a safe work environment.  This position is also required to perform other varies duties:

$25+ Hourly

Schedule: 2nd Shift 

Mon- Fri, 2pm-10:30pm, OT Available 


$3000 Sign on Bonus!

Supervisory Responsibilities  

This position leads all employees in their assigned departments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure that every team member is maintaining a clean, safe working environment, and using the required PPE at all times in the production area.
  • Supervise the production activity within the assigned manufacturing departments to achieve a level daily throughput.
  • Set priorities, schedule and assign work within the assigned departments.
  • Meet or exceed all productivity targets for the effective production of high quality parts and components.
  • Be responsive to process and equipment deficiencies to maintain scrap levels below standard.
  • Verify that maximum production output rates are being achieved.
  • Verifies conformance of production parts to specifications.
  • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving individual employee work schedules and vacation requests.

Job Duties Continued

  • Lead and develop machine shop personnel by providing ongoing training.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Drive Cycle time and efficiency improvements.
  • Able to identify and report problems with machinery, tooling, and processes.
  • Assures that machinery, equipment, and facilities are clean and properly maintained for efficient production, and uphold the standards Chips MFG is known for.
  • Act as first responder, in accordance to company standards and practices.
  • Proficient with computer software in order to perform required tasks. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • Must have 2+ years’ senior level experience as Machinist, proficient with CNC Lathes.
  • Must have 1+ years' supervisory experience in CNC Machine Shop environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a production oriented environment.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of Machine Shop standards and practices.
  • Ability to manage a staff of 20+ employees.
  • CPR and first aid certified.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead by example.
  • Excellent decision making and analytical skills
  • Ability to deliver results at short notice
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work for long hours
