Overall operational responsibility for directing the growth and ongoing development of the VIETNAM Healthcare Market through recruiting, developing, training, and support for the distributors and employees in the region.  Support the implementation of STERIS’ strategy of significantly increasing its market presence and investigating concrete business development opportunities.  Specific responsibilities will include the introduction of new products into the market and directing the service support strategy to achieve STERIS’s sales and marketing objectives for the region.  The position includes Profit & Loss responsibilities for the territory. This posiotn reports to Regional Sales Manager.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Interface with customers, distributors, project management, factory engineering, technical service support, customer service and the service department in order to secure, manufacture and deliver customer orders as specified.


  1. Develop a business plan strategy and manage a dealer structure to meet the market objectives.  Identify opportunities in the future to direct employ sales employees that will increase profits for the region.


  1. Responsible for the Profit & Loss of the Country for all HealthCare products.  Pursue business activities that will increase the overall profit of the area.  Develop sales skills that sell the value of the products and control operating expenditures.


  1. Responsible for the recruiting, training and development of employees and distributors to achieve the sales and marketing objectives. Coordinate product training as appropriate to maintain high technical and sales standards for the sales force.


  1. Improve geographical and product coverage through channel partners.


  1. Coordinate resources of Regional Sales, Project Management, Factory Engineering and Service Support to provide customers the most optimal solution, properly specify the product and ensure timely delivery and acceptance are completed.


  1. Prepare monthly reports on the sales, forecast and backlog orders for the region.  Maintain a reporting structure with distributors/dealers (updating STERIS International Pipeline System) and employees to collect field data.


  1. Support VIETNAM appropriate product and regional capability strategies by helping with business development activities and generation of partnership leads.


  1. Develop strong relationships with regulatory, governmental, and professional organizations in order to promote STERIS products and contribute to the improvement of Healthcare delivery in VIETNAM.


  1. Other duties as assigned.


Working Conditions:

Standard office environment and work from home when required.  Extensive use of computer and telephone.  Extensive overnight travel to meet with customers, employees, factories, and distributors is required, approximately 30 to 50% of the time. Some weekend travel may be required.

    Education/License Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in business or other equivalent area.  MBA strongly preferred.


    Experience Requirements:

    Five to Eight years minimum of progressive management experience in the Vietnamese Healthcare market.  Prior experience with a multinational firm will be a plus.  Must possess exceptional managerial, analytical, organizational, financial, and verbal/written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.  Strong P&L responsibility with emphasis on growth, revenue, and income generation as well as strategic positioning.  Budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting. Requires strong computer skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
