Summary:

Achieve company sales targets and profit objectives set in Japan. Promote and improve STERIS market presence. Manage an appropriate dealer network. Facilitate and support dealers to sell STERIS products to Healthcare customers and achieve their sales target. Build up and maintains an adequate sales network and strong business relationship with customers. Provide optimum support, information and service for customers.  Ensure high customer satisfaction with high value-added service. This position reports to Country Manager, Japan.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Customer Relationship/Project Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales revenue and profit objectives in Japan. Fully grasp all aspects of marketing information within the assigned area and come up with the response accordingly. Collect and analyze the market status, including competitors’ analysis to improve market share and find out new potential business opportunities. Expand the market share.

 

  • Monitor and track all the business process to ensure the smooth business flow. Negotiation of deals. Identify customer's needs and business opportunities. Maintain effective communication with customers. Collaborate with product managers and dealers to provide solutions. Effectively communicate with our dealers/customers on the CSSD/ OR designs, work flows, and product advantages.  Identify and check all the deal items. Generate quote through STERIS Japan ERP system and place purchase order to customer support. Monitor the whole progression of sales contract from company to end-users to ensure successful completion of product installation and acceptance and gather all the account receivables in a timely manner. Manage Accounts Receivable.

 

  • Develop and maintain dealer network and database. Establish and improve the dealer management system by analysis, assessment, facilitation and support. Set up business plan for dealers. Conduct dealer performance management periodically. Track the business progress. Facilitate and work with dealers to achieve company sales and profit objectives. Co-work with dealers’ sales team on channel partners recruiting, contracting and its revision, authorization and daily support. Provide clinical and technical training.

 

  • Develop new customers and maximum the customer network in Japan. Establish and update customer database. Maintain long-term good cooperation relationship with customers. Settle the customers’ feedback and complains properly in time. Ensure high satisfactory from the customers. Acquire and maintain good reputation.

 

  • Coordinate the purchasing goods with internal customer support and external vendors. Duties include deliver goods to customer and improve customer satisfaction.
     
  • Prepare and maintain transaction records and project list.

 

  • Coordinate with Service Department to resolve warranty and service issues.

 

Teamwork 

  • Support Sales, Finance, Service and other departments to solve various issues.

 

  • Frontline end customers, dealers.

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience

    Experience Requirements:

    •  5 year experience in Medical Device sales and business development.  Experience in OR, endoscope or sterilization is preferred.
    • Good experience in channel development and management. Strong networks and client relationship. Excellent sales track record.
    • High integrity and professional ethics. Excellent skills in negotiation, planning, organization, communication, coordination, problem solving and team spirit. Outstanding project management and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Be able to work under pressure and travel frequently. Self-motivated, self-directed and be willing to accept responsibilities.

     

    Skills:

    Extensive use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment as required.  Ability to communicate effectively with others. Analytical skills, computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint and Word) Ability to work with minimal supervision required. Fluency in Japanese. English language proficiency is preferred.
