Position Summary

This position is responsible for the sales and marketing management of the Infection Prevention Technology, IPT business unit that includes both capital and consumable portfolio in Japan Market. Must work cross-functionally within the organization and effectively with the external stakeholders (e.g., HQ R&D/Mktg. Legals, Manufacturing, Regional distributors, Clinicians and KOLs) to execute company initiatives and manage all aspects of the IPT business, its commercialization and business operations. This is achieved through portfolio expansion and continued market penetration with the core products along with strategic partnerships with distribution partners, key opinion leaders as well as clinical associations.  Contribute to the evolution of the organization as new protocols and business methods gain adoption.  Work with a sense of urgency, understand the business expectations, and always maintain focus on the changing priorities and strategies of the IPT business unit in Japan.

Duties

1.        Accountable for achieving and / or exceeding STERIS IPT revenue, profitability and strategic objectives in Japan. 

2.        Develops and executes the three to five-year strategic plan for Japan with specific focus on the development of a sales / marketing organization. This will be achieved through collaboration with APAC Business Management Team.
3.        Manages the commercial operations in Japan. Ensures the distribution network is poised to meet and exceed revenue objectives and is aligned with the APAC IPT business strategy.  
4.        Provides leadership, training, and support to STERIS IPT’s Japan distribution network.  
5.        Analyzes financial results to gauge performance/trends and responds resolution accordingly.
6.        Manages the annual fiscal / quarterly planning process including revenue and operating budgets control for STERIS IPT in Japan.
7.        Responsible for relationship building with physician key opinion leaders and infection prevention society and its subsidiary organizations and distribution sales team in Japan. This is achieved in support of the STERIS IPT business portfolio and branding throughout Japan.
8.        Identifies and supports business and new product market development opportunities in Japan.
9.        Supports clinical trade shows/ seminar, workshops, leverages KOL relationships, positions STERIS IPT products for inclusion in webinar, solicits feedback on ideas.   
10.        Other special duties as assigned by the management team. Ensure all the company business activities in a compliant manner. Act as a leadership role model at all times by complying with the Company’s values. Exhibit high standard of performance and professional conduct.

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

1.    10+ years of progressive management experience in the Healthcare market, preferably in the area of Infection Prevention, CSSD domain 
2.    10+ years prior experience with a multinational firm required.  
3.    5+ years of strong sales revenue and gross margin responsibility as well as strategic portfolio management
4.    5+ years of budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting and employee selection required.
 

Specific Skills and/or Business Competencies

1.    High integrity and professional ethics. Excellent skills in negotiation, planning, organization, communication, coordination, problem solving and team spirit. Outstanding project management and time management skills.
2.    Proficiency in MS Office applications; English language proficiency is necessary. 
3.    Self-motivated, self-directed, integrity and be willing to accept responsibilities.
4.    Good experience in channel development and management. Strong networks and client relationship. Excellent sales track record.
