Summary

Are you a driven sales professional with a talent for achieving targets? We are looking for a National Sales Manager to oversee our Sterile Reprocessing product portfolio in Japan. Reporting directly to the Managing Director for China & Japan, you will develop and implement sales strategies, analyze market trends, and manage day-to-day sales operations. Your role will also involve building strong relationships with key accounts, managing dealer networks, and fostering a high-morale team environment.

What You Will Do

Sales Management

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve national sales targets for CSSD reprocessing products and other assigned portfolios. Regularly monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Market Trend Analysis: Analyze market trends, competition, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Use data-driven insights for strategic decisions.
  • Daily Sales Management: Manage day-to-day sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting. Guide and support sales teams in meeting targets.
  • Key Project Management: Lead key sales projects ensuring timely execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for business goals alignment.
  • KOL & Key Accounts Connections: Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and key accounts. Handle high-level negotiations and partnership development.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and refine sales strategies that align with company objectives and market dynamics. Implement initiatives to increase market share, penetrate new markets, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor competitors' activities and market positioning. Identify strengths and weaknesses in competitor offerings and develop counter-strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers through regular engagement and feedback loops. Ensure customer needs are understood and addressed promptly, enhancing customer loyalty and retention.

Channel Management

  • Dealer Target Assignment: Assign and manage dealer targets to ensure alignment with overall sales objectives. Regularly review dealer performance and provide feedback to improve results.
  • Dealer Search & Expansion: Identify and onboard new dealers to expand the company's reach and market penetration. Conduct thorough evaluations of potential partners to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Current Dealer Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing dealers. Provide support and resources to help them grow their businesses and achieve mutual success.
  • Business Support for Dealers: Offer comprehensive support to dealers, including training, marketing materials, and technical assistance. Help dealers develop and execute business plans to maximize their potential.
  • Expansion Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies to expand the dealer network, focusing on high-growth areas and untapped markets. Leverage partnerships and collaborations to drive expansion efforts.

Team Management

  • High Morale Team: Foster a motivating work environment that encourages high morale and productivity. Recognize and reward outstanding performance to boost team spirit and engagement.
  • Hiring the Right Sales Talent: Recruit top-tier sales professionals and ensure a robust onboarding process to integrate new hires effectively.
  • Talent Identification & Development: Identify high-potential employees and provide them with opportunities for growth and development. Mentor and coach team members to enhance their capabilities and career progression.
  • Training Programs: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to equip sales teams with the knowledge and skills required to excel. Regularly update training content to reflect industry trends and best practices.
  • Behavior Management: Establish clear expectations for sales team behaviors and hold individuals accountable for meeting those standards.

Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 8+ years in sales management, with 3+ years in medical devices (CSSD/sterilization expertise preferred).
  • Proven experience as a National Sales Manager or similar role in the medical device industry.
  • Strong understanding of CSSD reprocessing products and related technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and expanding market presence
  • English proficiency is advantageous.
