Position title:     Assistant Product Manager
Reports to:    Product Manager, IPT

 

Summary

 

Work with dealers to facilitate achievement of company sales and profit objectives of Infection Prevention Technologies (IPT) and Surgical Solution Business. Provide clinical and technical support to dealers and distributors to sell STERIS IPT and Surgical Solution products to Healthcare customers. Ensure high customer satisfaction and maintain sound relations with dealers through correspondence and/or personal contact.

Work with Regulatory Consultant. Maintain quality and regulatory issues for STERIS Japan.

Perform sales and service support for customers.

 

Essential Job Functions

Dealers Support

 

  1. Develop, facilitate and provide technical support to local dealers to sell STERIS surgical products and solutions.

 

  1. Maintain sound dealer relations through timely responses to dealer inquires via accurate and timely communication. Evaluate non-routine complaints from customers and dealers, follow through to determine source of complaint, and take appropriate action to ensure that problems are corrected and do not recur.

 

  1. Conduct product, clinical and technical training for distributor’s sales and service team, as well as customers when necessary.

 

  1. Support business negotiation. Provide the proper product configuration and solutions. Support site preparation of installation.

 

 

 

Service

 

  1. Be responsible for the technical service, including installation, repair visit, preventive maintenance, operation training to improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Communicate technical problems and resolve complaints from customer or dealers.

 

  1. Manage device installation projects, such as customer’s facility planning, installation scheduling, requirements and the transportation arrangement.

 

  1. Establish and maintain service dealer network. Provide support to dealer service teams. Conduct dealer service trainings.

 

  1. Plan daily and weekly maintenance sensibly and effectively according to STERIS working process. Comply with STERIS procedures and regulations of maintenance management. Manage service logs, tools and parts inventory properly.

 

  1. Implement import inspection procedure for STERIS import units. Train warehouse technicians.

 

  1. Check all import devices, parts and consumables. Make judgement on ship or defective. Report to STERIS US if needed.

    Working Conditions

     

    Extensive use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment as required. Position also requires extensive travel throughout the Territories. Position is based in Tokyo, Japan.

     

    Education/License Requirements

     

    Technical diploma; excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills.

     

    Experience Requirements

     

    3-5 years’ experience in service engineers//technical support for dealers.
