About Us:
At Steris AST we are the trusted experts in neutral sterilization offering includes radiation and gas technologies.
We offer electron beam, gamma, X-ray, ethylene oxide and vaporized hydrogen peroxide technologies for the purpose of product sterilization. Whether that product be a single use medical instrument, a hospital environment, cosmetics and toiletries, or food products, we make sure that everything that makes its way to an end user is safe for use or consumption.
We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Administrator vacancy.
Duties
- Receives, sorts, and logs in samples for testing on a timely basis with distribution of samples to appropriate testing areas. 0 – 50%
- Generates and reviews laboratory testing datasheets, reports, shipping forms for return samples, Biological Indicator and supply purchases. 25 – 75%
- Professionally and courteously interfaces with Customers and couriers. 0 – 5%
- Maintains records and filing system. 0 – 25%
- Processes Biological Indicator sales to Customers, providing product pull and shipment. 0 - 20%
- Packages environmental monitoring plates for shipment to Customers. 0 - 5 %
- Monitors inventory of supplies for Laboratory sales i.e. BIs, contact and settle plates, etc. 0 – 5%
Required Experience
- Minimum two years experience in Customer service, data entry, office preferably in a regulated industry.
- Above average data entry, keyboarding, and 10 key speed and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment that requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work well under pressure.
- Ability to interface professionally by phone or in person with Customers, employees and visitors.
- Possesses organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with common office equipment and software.
