Position Summary

The primary role of the Case Cart Technician is to travel to Customer sites/locations to perform basic case cart repairs and support services.  In this entry-level role, the Case Cart Technician is learning to manage certain aspects of the Customer’s relationship with STERIS IMS. Uses learned competencies to repair and refurbish basic levels of hospital rolling stock on Customer's premises.  Maintains a clean driving record, professional attitude and appearance. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external Customers.


  • Basic repair of carts, IV poles and rolling stock equipment at a hospital or clinic setting.  

  • Completes secondary duties which can include inventory count and supply ordering  

  • Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of company vehicle 

  • Assists in completion of daily reporting  

  • Compliance to all safety and quality regulations required 

  • May assist in training of new hires and less experienced Technicians  

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 

  • Strong technical ability required 

  • TIG welding experience preferred 

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record 

  • Must be able to communicate with Customers, clients and co-workers on various levels.

  • Must be able to travel as needed 

  • Must be able to work non-standard hours to accommodate Customer needs. 

  • Must be able to work for 40+ hours per week in fast-paced environment as needed
