Position Summary

This is an exciting new role created role to support the Global Tax Reporting and Strategy Senior Manager to bring value to STERIS in a variety of areas including cross border tax planning & compliance, structuring of acquisitions and dispositions, development and implementation of global tax strategies, and management of corporate tax governance.  The position is an exciting opportunity to become a key point to contact between the tax team and the corporate accounting group as well as other business groups.

Duties

  • Working with external advisers on the preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports or, where applicable, preparing reports or other supporting documentation for transfer pricing policies.
  • Collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and reporting results in order to calculate and record, as necessary, quarterly and annual transfer pricing adjustments.
  • Assisting with management of all Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) including submission of filing/non-filing notices, master file and local file, where applicable.
  • Preparing documentation relating to indirect taxation (VAT, etc.) of related and unrelated party transactions, and assisting with global VAT compliance/management as needed.
  • Assisting with quarterly group tax reporting, as required.
  • Researching transfer pricing and cross-functional tax issues.
  • Performing financial / economic analyses and building financial valuation models, as needed.
  • Assisting with audits / providing tax controversy support.

Drafting intercompany agreements to reflect group transfer pricing policies

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of STERIS plc’s overall tax strategy, and preparation of the UK head office tax strategy as required by HMRC.
  • Assisting with cross border tax planning and financing projects relating to both external M&A and internal reorganisations.
  • Monitoring commercial aspects of group tax planning efforts to ensure compliance and achievement of stated tax benefits.
  • Preparation of summary notes relating to new legislative changes which affect or may affect current and future tax positions.
  • Monitoring and analysing existing and proposed tax legislation and helping to define and implement appropriate global strategies.
  • Assisting with transfer pricing planning aspects of business expansion including entering into new countries, reorganisations, and cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with preparation of executive level communication of project plans and milestones to broad stakeholder group, including the tax leadership team and finance leaders.
  • Professional certification considered a plus (CPA or CMA).
