At Steris AST we are the trusted experts in technology-neutral sterilization services including radiation and gas modalities.

· Create,own,develop,review and maintain the site Sales & Operations plan

· Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons

as part of a demand planning function that include skills and resource planning.

· Work with Customers in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-

outs. Working closely with the commercial teans to ensure at all times the product fits within the plant


· Manage and develop the customer side of the site to ensure the customer and site have clear expectations.

In line with agreed service levels.

· Able to schedule the plants and cover back up as and when required

· Review and report monthly Customer account performance scorecards to Customers

· Overall responsibility for the site schedules ensuring they are created, issued and managed with a balance of

operational and customer requirements.



· Operational leadership of supervisor and/or Team Leaders along with sub teams focusing on development

and improvement of team training plans, create a motivated and empowered multiskilled workforce.

· Manage disciplinary actions,Labour forecasting, planning, interview/selection, temporary staffing

· To participate in providing management cover 24 hours per day, 365 days per year through the operation of a

call out rota as directed by the Plant Manager/General Manager.

· Participate and drive OTOG iniatives

· Conduct regular performance reviews with team members focusing on development needs

· To help create and maintain a proactive culture where team members are empowered to deliver the company




· Review and manage team overtime hours inline with budget allocation

· Review of plant downtime data ensuring records are managed and maintained inline with radiation and GMP


· Management of site consumable stock policies



· To assist with the frontline maintenance schedule ensuring adequate planning and skilled labour are


· To increase the overall site efficiency and revenue by using a collaborative and inclusive approach with

Quality and Sales.

· To perform customer visits as and when needed.


Continuous improvement

· Lead operational continuous improvement teams. Deploying area improvement plans.

· Own site 5s audit schedule, carrying out random area inspections

· Plan, review and develop operational standard work

· Participate in KAIZEN events

· Own employee Best practise visit schedule

· To undertake any reasonable management request.

Required Experience


  • Leadership experience and the ability to make things happen by encouraging and channeling the contributions of others, taking a stand on and addressing important issues, and acting as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement. 
  • Experience fostering teamwork – The synergy that comes from putting employees together to form teams to solve problems, make decisions, and take action for greater department success. 
  • Experience coaching and developing others – The ability to lead, coach and develop the department’s human capital by establishing an environment conducive to feedback, giving positive and constructive feedback, addressing performance problems and grooming employees for advancement. 
  • Computer Skills- Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, previous experience using Oracle preferred.
  • Business Acumen – experience with and ability to understand company financials, department cost structures, budgets, and operating costs.
