The Role
Do you want to join a team providing technical consultation and education for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry manufacturers? Bring your knowledge to STERIS as a Technical Services Lab Associate. This position provides support to Customers and the sales organization on product technology and application by assisting in data collection, lab testing, records maintenance, report preparation, and daily lab operations.
What You'll Do
- Using standard procedures and techniques, participates in the design of experiments and conducts tests to collect data to support lab evaluations. In conjunction with a Senior Associate or Specialist, interprets data and determines further experiments. Maintains records, prepares reports, and makes recommendations.
- Under direction of a Specialist or Manager, provides telephone support, written correspondence, literature, lab analysis, and assistance with field trials and direct field support to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry Customers and the sales organization. Performs assigned tasks related to product applications, correct use of product or providing background information or analytical support.
- Assists in daily lab operations duties including maintenance of quality control records, documenting standard operating procedures for lab maintenance, equipment operations, and maintenance of systems. Coordinates receipt, distribution, and storage of lab supplies
- Assists in generating, updating, and coordinating technical support data for the product line.
- Supports compliance with government regulations by applying safety policies and procedures.

What You'll Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline
- 1 to 2 years of laboratory experience is desirable
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong Customer and service orientation with ability to effectively utilize resources for technical information as needed.
- Demonstrates solid organizational skills, good judgment, and ability to think analytically.
- Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, and other directives; supporting the directives and decisions of higher-level management; accomplishing other duties as assigned.
- Protects company confidential information by properly storing, retrieving, and disseminating such information only to those authorized.
