Position Summary

The Production Planner & Scheduler identifies and prioritizes production requirements to coordinate the flow of materials and parts to meet production schedules. The Production Planner & Scheduler establishes, maintains, and tracks weekly and monthly production schedule. Provide daily production records. Provide weekly and monthly production and inventory reports. These duties are performed with minimal supervision and considerable latitude. 

 

This role requires onsite work 5 days/week in St Louis, MO. This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship or H1B Transfer.

What You'll do as a Production Planner & Scheduler

  • Owns schedule with planning and manufacturing as needed to maintain production objectives. 
  • Controls flow of all work orders for the Manufacturing departments.  
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine the effect of insufficient parts and material shortages.
  • Monitor and report production schedule planning and manufacturing accuracy.
  • Compiles and maintains manual and computerized records of material inventory, status, and location.
  • Maximizes cash flow and profits and minimizes inventory investment by monitoring, maintaining and reporting appropriate levels of inventory.
  • Manages inventory through the requisition of materials and establishes sequential delivery dates with vendors. Resolves delivery delays and problems with rejected materials.
  • Investigate and resolve causes of material shortages, and work to balance inventory and adjust production schedules.
  • Authorized to expedite parts from vendors when needed.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED. 
  • 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment, working with inventory, scheduling or materials management.
  • Experience with production computer systems and processes.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Excel.

 

Preferred

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing environment.

Pay range for this opportunity is $22.68/hr - $28.01. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
