This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.
The Role
Are you an Engineer seeking a non-traditional role? Why not consider joining the Life Sciences Contamination Control Solutions (CCS) Marketing department? As the Product Support Engineer, you will support the CCS product offering to Customers and partner with third party suppliers, develop sales collateral and training, and troubleshoot/provide technical support on assigned products in the CCS portfolio. You will also interface with Research and Development and Engineering groups to represent CCS and assist with projects as needed.
What You'll Do
Chemical Delivery and Dispensing Support
- Participate in the identification, development, introduction and support of dispensing and storage solutions complementary to the CCS portfolio. Requirements include: Managing relationships with third-party equipment providers, third-party service providers, and the evaluation and optimization of the CCS chemical delivery and dispensing portfolio.
- Provides technical and product support, including training, to Technical Services personnel, Sales Associates, and Customers.
- Field travel and/or remote assistance to provide technical support, Customer support and field training. International travel may be required.
- Introduce new equipment and manage the phase-out of obsolete equipment.
New Product Development, Continued Product Support
- Create, review, and update technical documentation.
- Interface with Purchasing and Supply Chain, Engineering, and Research and Development to define and assist in the implementation of product upgrades and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and analyze technical problems. Resolve immediate issues and implement changes to prevent future problems.
- Provide qualification/testing documentation and support for design modifications.
- Create, review and update marketing documentation
- Packaging Engineering and R&D as well
Education Degree
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Practical experience in the establishment and management of relationships with outside equipment or service providers. One to two years’ experience preferred. Experience can come in the form of a meaningful co-op, internship, or summer employment assignment.
- Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, management, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret a variety of technical data and comprehensively document findings. One to two years’ experience preferred. Experience can come in the form of a meaningful co-op, internship, or summer employment assignment
- Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly communicate project details across multiple levels of an organization.
- Ability to enhance product portfolio and execute tactics in line with strategic objectives
Preferred experience includes:
- Experience/exposure to GMP manufacturing- exposure to chemical/liquids manufacturing.
- Experience/exposure to EHS training or exposure (hazardous material management, disposal, safety
