Position Summary

To manage, support and develop the business associated with the sales, promotion and distribution of STERIS IPT Consumables products only which require to be in line with the company policy within the designated territory(s).

Duties

Account Manager Singapore, Consumables (80%):

1.    Achieve sales and profit objectives set at the beginning of Financial Year.
2.    Develop strategy plan and maximise all sales opportunities for sales within Singapore for the whole STERIS portfolio (Infection prevention Consumables brands and future acquisitions).
3.    Plan and manage direct customers and other relevant sales outlets in the territory. 
4.    Promote company’s consumables through product trials and demo.
5.    Establish and maintain solid relationships with local KOL/VIP. Ensure high customer satisfaction through personal contact and correspondence.
6.    Able to engage customers in providing related clinical education and guiding the users to use the consumables properly on the equipment and in process.
7.    Identify our customer’s needs and requirements with assistance from various departments within the company.
8.    Collaborate with capital sales team to facilitate STERIS capital equipment customers to use STERIS consumables.
9.    Organise and attend customer (hospital) visits and represent the company at trade shows.
10.    Manage any infrequent customer and/or product complaints in a professional manner.  Evaluate and find out the cause of the complaint and take appropriate action to address the problems to be issue.
11.    Inform customers of company products. Discuss with customers the various means of purchasing company products through budget assessment. Complete all relevant paperwork to ensure customers’ requirements are met effectively.
12.    Check the local tender websites for tender of the product distributed by the Company and preparing tender documents for tender processes.
13.    Prepare tender documentations and safeguarding of business information.
14.    Prepare quotations for local hospitals for budgetary purposes and liaise with key hospitals when the needs arise.
15.    Send quotations in format required by customers, in hardcopy and/or softcopy, check and submit with supporting documents and literatures.
16.    Process all paperwork efficiently in collaboration with customer operations and accurately relating to orders received from initial enquiry through to receipt of official order, satisfactory delivery to the customer and receipt of payment.
17.    Advise customers of status of orders.
18.    Ensure that the goods are received by customers and follow up if there are complaints of shortages, etc from customers.
19.    Manage time, travel, and sales activities to maximize effectiveness on a monthly basis.
20.    Provide timely reporting of weekly and monthly events.
21.    Support the local regulatory requirement set up by the Health Science Authority through licence renewal, amendment and product registration.
22.    Draw up a promotional budget for local activity.

Marketing Management Singapore (20%):

23.    Implement and monitor the marketing events.
24.    Create marketing documents and/or promotional materials adapted and developed for local needs (Newsletter, Documents, leaflets, etc….)
25.    Conduct business analysis for products and markets relevant to resource allocation and brand strategy
26.    Develop database of market researchs to always provide accurate market data of competitor information and market demand trend
27.    Comply with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. His/her attitude and behavior reinforce company policies and programs by exhibiting and expecting the highest standards of performance and professional conduct. Undertake and define a program of self-development.
28.    Handle other duties and responsibilities as are periodically assigned or requested.

Education Degree
  • High School Diploma or GED in Biological Science or Chemistry
Required Experience

1.    A good recognized tertiary education, strong computer and presentation skills.
2.    An experienced  sales professional with a background and knowledge in medical products
(ideally hospital environment such as operating theatre, Central Sterile Supply Department, consumables related business) with at least two years experience.
3.    Previous experience in handling dealers / distributors will be an advantage.
