Position Summary

Come join the STERIS BPS team as  a distribution center expert on international product deployment to ensure safe, timely, and cost effective shipping of finished goods globally. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working with customer service, manufacturing, and freight forwarders. Knowledgeable on all international shipping documentation including bill of lading, commercial invoice, certificate of origin Shipper's Letter of Instruction and AWB. Maintain appropriate record keeping and provide effective liaisons with carriers, freight forwarders, and governmental agencies.


1.    Responsible for pulling and arranging packaging products and completion of international documentation for international customer shipments.
2.    Work with material handlers on inventory and shipping preparation on packaging and documentation procedures for finished goods shipments.
3.    Crosstrain all aspects of shipping, receiving and inventory as a member of the overall team   
4.    Put away stock, scan products into inventory and complete required cycle counts.  Issue raw materials into  production.
5.    Maintain proper shipping documentation on international shipments for required length of time.
6.    Create and authorize standard international shipping and receiving work instructions.
7.    Responsible for liaisons with freight forwarders and trafficking to establish total customer satisfaction.
8.    Receive materials per purchase order and enter into inventory. 
9.    Inspect new shipments for accuracy and completion, print inventory labels, and schedule Quality for inspection and release.       

Education Degree
  • High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience

Work Experience:

  1. 3 – 5 years’ experience in domestic and international shipping.  
  2. 1-2 years warehousing operations experience
  3. Must be able to work in both a standard office environment and in a distribution warehouse facility.


Skills and Compentencies:

  1. Knowledge of computerized warehouse systems for domestic and international shipping
  2. Strong knowledge in coterms and international shipping documentation
  3. Must be able to work effectively against deadlines and handle several tasks/projects simultaneously while meeting or exceeding performance standards.
  4. Work closely and communicate Customers to assure alignment of all parties involved to assure efficient freight movement and billing.
  5. High level of diligence, quality control, attention to detail.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and be flexible to assist with shifting priorities or change.
  7. Experience using a forklift, pallet jack and electric pallet jack are preferred but not required
  8. Good communication and organizational skills (both written and verbal)
  9. Computer and data entry skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and shipping software preferred
