Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.  There are select Customers who do not accept any exceptions. Unvaccinated Associates may be excluded from working at a Customer site, require routine testing with an approved exemption (if accepted by the Customer) or have limited Customer access impacting their ability to remain employed. Additionally, we may be required to meet state mandates on COVID-19 vaccination, exemptions and/or booster requirements. This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.

The Role

Are you an Engineer seeking a non-traditional role?  Why not consider joining the Life Sciences Contamination Control Products (CCP) Marketing department. As the Product Support Engineer, you will evaluate Barrier Product offerings to Customers and partner with both in-house resources and third party suppliers, to provide both designs and samples for Customer evaluation. Upon Customer acceptance, you will work within the New Product Development process to facilitate manufacture. You will also work with Product Management and Sales to support successful Customer adoption and market penetration.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the identification, development, introduction and support of products and packaging to support the needs of Barrier Products Customers.
    • Responsibilities include: supporting relationships with key suppliers, supporting sourcing initiatives, working with Sales, Sampling, Operations and Product management on design, development and evaluation of samples, and with Operations on conversion of samples to new products.  
  • Interface with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Product Management to define and assist in the implementation of product upgrades and enhancements
  • Work with Quality, Technical Services, Product Management etc., to troubleshoot product problems. Resolve immediate issues and implement changes to prevent future problems
  • Provide qualification/testing, documentation and support for designs and design modifications , and to manage changes in compliance with our change management processes and policies. 
  • Support creation, review and updates of technical and marketing documentation

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years, preferably in a marketing or manufacturing design support role
  • Practical experience in the establishment and management of relationships with outside product, equipment or service providers. One to two years’ experience preferred. Experience can come in the form of a meaningful co-op, internship, or summer employment assignment.
  • Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, management, and presentation skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret a variety of technical data and comprehensively document findings.

  • Teamwork – Work with cross functional team to execute projects
