Work with Surgical Sales Team and dealers to facilitate achievement of company sales and profit objectives of Surgical Business. Manage Surgical product portfolio from analysis, strategic planning, product kit preparation, launch, training to support. Ensures high customer satisfaction and maintains sound relations with dealers through correspondence and/or personal contact.  Identifies and specifies opportunities for future STERIS products, markets, and new applications for current products and technology. Plan and organize clinical seminars & marketing activities to enhance and build STERIS’s branding. Keep a sound relationship with VIP customers and Key Opinion Leaders.


Essential Job Functions

  1. Independently implement surgical product management including:
    • market & customer needs analysis,
    • product differentiation & positioning strategy,
    • branding & outbound messaging,
    • identifying features, advantages & benefit of a product,
    • new product launch, product kit preparation & maintenance,
    • providing sales team necessary product tools timely such as brochures, posters, presentations, certificates, comparison analysis, bidding specifications, manuals, clinical reports, video & photos,
    • monitoring competitions and market trends & changes,
    • product trainings to sales team, dealers & customers,
    • technical support to project, application & clinical education,
    • academic activities.
  2. Understand the Surgical flow in the OR Rooms, patient position, and be able to conduct product demo and products and their accessories application training.
  3. Provide site support to key projects, including customer visit, assisting reference visit, project information tracking & collection, tendering support, to maximum confidence level & team effectiveness on key projects.
  4. Independently plan and organize seminars, workshop & other marketing activities to promote responsible product group & whole branding.
  5. Maintain sound dealer relations through timely responses to dealer inquires via accurate and timely communication.
  6. Build good working relationship with Key Opinion leaders in the industry. Participate in the local congress or medical exhibitions along with dealers to promote STERIS products and branding.
  7. Evaluate non-routine complaints from customers and dealers, follow through to determine source of complaint, and take appropriate action to ensure that problems are corrected and no recurrance.
  8. Keep a regular contact to the key local market players and pursue potential partners in sales, marketing, and business development.
  9. Build up key reference sites for responsible product groups, and develop key opinion leaders to support clinical utilities promotion for responsible product groups.
  10. Assist Regulatory Team on the product registration, and assist Customer Service Team on product import & logistic.
  11. Manage time, travel, and sales activities to maximize effectiveness on a regular basis. Provide timely reporting of on-going marketing & product management projects.
  12. Comply with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies. His/her attitude and behavior reinforce company policies and programs by exhibiting and expecting the highest standards of performance and professional conduct. Undertakes and defines a program of self-development.
  13. Handle other duties and responsibilities as are periodically assigned or requested.

    Technical diploma; excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills.


    Experience Requirements

    Minimum five years documented product management or marketing experience in the medical device / equipment industry; prior Surgical products related product/marketing experience preferred.  Must be able to read, write and speak English and Mandarin Chinese. 


    Specific Skills and/or Business Competencies

    Proficient in both oral and written English and Mandarin. 

    Experienced product management & technical support skills.

    Skills of AutoCAD and 3D design software for OR planning and workflow drawing.

    Good presentation and negotiation skills.

    A good team-player.

    Analytical and result oriented.

    Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

    Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and manage own time effectively.

    Good working attitude. Positive, proactive and have good customer service manner.
