Position Summary

The Product Specialist provides multifunctional support for the Marketing and Products Department for the entire Surgical franchise in LATAM region. This professional works closely with members of the Global and local Marketing and Product teams to ensure that project completion is successful and on time, supporting new product launches along with the existing product portfolio.
In-depth knowledge of the line's products is essential to conduct hand on product training, application to customers and correct handling of them and their various accessories.
Confidence for public exposure is critical, since this professional needs to influence and generate credibly amoung Customers and Key Opinion Leaders. It is essential to have fluent English and Spanish - since the position requires communication with all of Latin America STERIS teams and dealers. The role of the Product Specialist follows the product's strategic plan prepared by the product manager on a daily basis. This is a specific role for marketing, focused on products that need attitude, emphasis on execution and multitasking, managing the varied marketing logistics, analysis and communication projects. It is very important in this position to manage internal and external stakeholders and assure total alignment among them. The internal stakeholders are: Marketing, Commercial, Operations. It is critical to understand their needs and to provide tools, guidance and proper support from Marketing. The product specialist works as the link between customers  and sales team to provide trainings, product demonstrations and to monitor and manage the key performance indicators of the Surgical Products for the LATAM region.

Duties

1. To be accountable for the product portfolio of the Surgical line marketing strategy and management, as well as the entire accessories line.
2. 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR: TRAINING, CUSTOMER DEMONSTRATIONS, HANDS ON SESSIONS AND APPLICATION FOR ALL SURGICAL PORTFOLIO
3. Be responsible for the interface and alignments with the global Marketing team.
4. Monitor product registration processes in the region.
5. Provide technical support for all internal areas of the company.
6. Manage inventory movements to stimulate demonstration processes as well as coordinate requests for demonstrations between customers / distributors;
7. Make application with the commercial and distribution team in hospitals;
8. Make complete presentations on the different products;
9. Be an anchor to present the products in the most diverse forums;
10. Be responsible for all training and applications for the Surgical line;
11. Support the sales team and distribution network to validate technical configurations;
12. Be 100% available for travel throughout the region;
13. Always be in the field to: capture opportunities, support the entire distribution network and capture competitive information;
14. Manage the strategic product plan defined for each product in a daily basis;
15. Coordinate all marketing plans, including: promotional campaigns, launches, training, events, material and product description, etc;
16. Participate and approve content development for commercial team, social media, advertising, promotions and websites;
17. Adapt international product campaigns and prepare local campaigns;
18. Manage strategic market information;
19. Coordinate market research;
20. Manage competitor information;
21. Analyze macroeconomic trends;
22. Provide strategic market information and indicators / numbers to the Marketing and Product Manager;
23. Establish the link between the Marketing and Industrial / R & D departments;
24. Assist with market information for product development / improvement;
25. Establish the link between the Marketing and Commercial departments;
26. Act in the field to obtain information and needs for new marketing actions and product improvements;
27. Promote product training for sales staff and representatives;
28. Visiting customers to better understand their demands.

    Preferred Experience

    • Graduation in: Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Marketing, Communication or related areas;
    • Desirable masters in Marketing
    • Essential - fluent communication in English and Spanish
    •  Minimum experience of 04 years in Marketing, running similar positions with strong expericne with Surgical Market in LATAM region
