Lead Business Systems Analyst

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will engage directly with business SAP users across production accounting, customer service, warehouse management, transportation, and other
teams to enable high quality solutions. This is a key role in the implementation and development of core business processes and mentors and guides other Business Analysts. The Lead
Business Systems Analyst serves as a senior member in all project efforts, manages business communication, architects business solutions, drives target deliverable timelines and provides
status updates.

This position will develop functional specifications from business requirements, coordinate development (ABAP&BW), provide technical support, research, and resolve production support
issues, contribute to overall software architecture, and process solutions for SAP SD. Moreover, the Lead Business Systems Analyst will also coordinate third party AMS support efforts. The individual will be responsible for the solution, design, system configuration, testing the solutions, creating deliverables related to the project(s) and assisting in post implementation support.

Duties

  • Current configuration and module working knowledge in the SAP SD module.
  • Experience should include the following Sales and Distribution functional areas: SD org structure definition, SD master data configuration and setup for customer master, customer material info record, and pricing; sales doc type configuration and sales order processing, pricing configuration, rebate processing, basic delivery processing and transportation planning for rate and route determination, billing processes, and third party drop ship processes.
  • Responsible for enabling complex business requirements; design, configure, test, and implement solutions leveraging SAP SD-WM.
  • Analyze business needs, documents requirements, and translates needs into functional, non-functional and/or technical specifications. Performs analysis, and evaluates downstream business, systems, process, and/or organizational impacts.
  • Maintain a high level of functional competency regarding standard SAP SD configuration and keeping current on SAP trends & future enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve desired end-results on intricate problems, by delivering scalable business process solutions.
  • Plan and assist with oversight of testing processes and activities including defect identification and resolution.
  • Develop or assist in the development of work plans, time schedules, project task items.
  • Advise business partners on the implications of standard or new SAP solutions that can be applied and provides options for consideration.
  • Experience and knowledge in key integration points of SD with WM, MM, PP, and FI/CO modules.
  • Experience using SAP implementation tools such as Best Practices, ASAP/Activate terminology.
  • Experience with Solution Manager preferred.
  • Desire to learn new modules and work on leading edge projects.
  • Document quality training material for business users.
  • Identifies/Classifies risks and issues and recommends solution options.
  • Building strong relationships with business partners and provides subject matter expertise.
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues and responsible for all SD production support activities including providing guidance and assistance to the team for problem solving and Ticket resolution.
  • Travel up less than 5% domestically, depending on project needs.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education Degree

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field preferred.
  • SAP Certification in SD highly desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years configuration experience in SD (Sales and Distribution), specifically Order to Cash, CO-PC, Pricing, and Billing.
  • Experience with SD integration between WM, MM, PP, TM and FICO.
  • Functional knowledge in SAP WM and ShipERP a plus.
  • 2+ Full life cycle implementations.
  • Ability to document new processes and train end-users.
  • Evident understanding of EDI and EDI Transactions.
  • Analytical ability to synthesize data and report on metrics.
  • Demonstrated communication skills *verbally and in writing) across organizational levels.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.
  • Works well with teams or in a team environment, with the ability to work independently.
  • A working knowledge of project management.
