The Procedural Support Representatives provide post-installation and on-site technical Customer support on all operating room integration equipment (light, tables, video technology). You may perform first tier troubleshooting and provide resolution of issues, and minor equipment modifications on all integration equipment serviced by STERIS. All STERIS representatives provide exceptional Customer service to hospital staff, supporting their use of the equipment in a professional and knowledgeable basis. This position is an extension of the local Sales team for a defined amount of time and will escalate service or account issues appropriately to the Field Service Representative or Account Manager assigned to the hospital. Additionally, the representative can contribute to STERIS growth by identifying and recommending product and services to Customers.
This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory, candidates should be based in New Jersey.
This position will report to Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill, NJ. Onsite position. Monday - Friday. Approx 7:00am - 3:30pm
What You'll Do as a Procedural Support Representative
- Assist hospital operating room staff in basic maintenance and ongoing use of hospital-owned STERIS integration equipment.
- Coordinate with Installers, Field Service Representatives and Account Managers for supplies and/or assistance as needed.
- Service Customers by providing on-site support in the operating room. Will manage and monitor the use of the OR equipment. This is a traveling position.
- May provide support during the installation of OR Integration equipment. Will serve a supporting role and will be expected to become familiar with that particular hospital’s equipment and OR set up.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned to ensure effective planning, utilization, and required paperwork completion.
- Respond to routine Customer and sales questions regarding equipment operation and performance. At the Regional Manager's discretion, provide on-site support to the sales organization, limited to identifying opportunities and post-installation use of equipment.
- Must learn and use proper operating room and hospital protocols while on-site. Must abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide solutions to Customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of work experience, including a minimum of one (1) year related experience in audio/visual field or direct Customer technical support.
- Upon hire, successful completion of product specific training modules is required.
- Position requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and twisting.
- Hours will vary depending on Customer needs, as availability is needed during procedures.
Preferred:
- Completion of associate degree program in computer science, electronics, audio/visual communications, or similar discipline strongly preferred.
- Will work in the following environments, at times during surgical procedures: hospitals, operating rooms, and surgi-centers. May be subject to Customer drug testing or background check, Operating Room protocol training, Customer specific safety training, or Customer SOP training.
- Comfort working in and around hospital personnel, sensitive medical equipment and patients, experience
- Excellent knowledge of personal computers, audio/video technology, video cabling, networking.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot situations and determine solution.
- Excellent, polished Customer interaction. Ability to communicate professionally with Customers.
- Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills.

Pay range for this opportunity is $40,000.00 - $55,912.50. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
