Position Summary

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will supervise staff and ensure safe, timely, cost-effective receiving, and shipping of finished goods.  You will also ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction by coordinating supply chain activities across the Manufacturing, Planning, and Sourcing departments, maintaining appropriate and accurate recording keeping and data management systems, and will act as an effective liaison with transportation providers and internal and external customers.

What You Will Do - Warehouse Supervisor

•    Responsible for receipt of finished goods and shipments to domestic customers and distributors.
•    Coordinate activities and provide direction to employees in charge of daily operations.
•    Screens and selects qualified individuals for positions, conducts performance reviews, determines salary adjustments, work schedules, promotions, training, and effectively addresses employee relations situations and manages conflict.
•    Establish, maintain, and promote positive employee relations, while maintaining productivity, attendance, and general order required for an efficient operation.
•    Facilitates a safety culture, performs safety audits to ensure proper use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), machines, and safeguards, trains individuals on safety procedures and expectations, leads investigations of near misses / incidents and facilitates the implementation of safety and ergonomics improvements.
•    Challenges current state, seeking opportunities to make incremental improvements daily and identifying solutions to remove waste from production activities.
•    Drives optimum employee performance, talent, and talent development. Provides growth, training, and development opportunities to employees. Drives results through effective coaching, counseling of staff and setting meaningful and measurable goals.
•    Evaluates performance and escalates needs through proper management and coaching of team members in relation to SQDC board meetings and daily standard reports (daily production, material requirements, etc.).
•    Develop and/or maintain the required material handling procedures and work instructions for the department.
•    Ensure required daily distribution requirements are aligned with Customer requirements.
•    Maintain and supervise appropriate inventory record keeping. Provide input for warehouse design and logistics.
•    Responsible for proper operation of equipment, including the training and instruction of operators on equipment use, and the requisitioning of needed equipment maintenance.  Ensure equipment is maintained in a clean working order.
•    Work with cross functional groups to ensure traffic between warehouse points and customers is coordinated and managed optimally.
•    In conjunction with HuFriedyGroup/STERIS Planning, ensure efficient traffic management feedback to Manager/Director regarding performance of carriers.
•    Coordinate and lead special projects affecting domestic warehouse operations.
•    Assist in maintaining 5S/SQDC boards and implement Lean initiatives to improve productivity.
•    Other duties as assigned.

What Will Help You Be Successful

•    High School Diploma or GED is required, Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
•    Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in warehousing, international and domestic transportation, and shipping/receiving
•    In lieu of Associates/Bachelor's degree, a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in warehousing, international and domestic transportation, and shipping/receiving will be required
•    Minimum two (2) years experience with MRP/ERP Software, prefer experience with SAP
•    Experience with Quality Systems
•    Working knowledge of ISO Standards 13485
•    Handling, Storing, and Shipping hazardous materials.

Pay range for this opportunity is $59,300.00 - $77,826.00.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
