Position Summary

The printing press operator produces printed materials by following standard operating procedures, setting up, operating, adjusting and maintaining the printing equipment. 

Job Details

Schedule: 2nd Shift (+$1 shift differential), 4 days x 10 hours/day

Monday - Thursday 

3:15pm - 1:45am

Training will be held on 1st shift.

Duties

•    Operation of flexographic press equipment
•    Operation of table top and slitter rewinder machines
•    Ability to color match using Pantone Color Guide
•    Capable of running multi-color printing jobs with in-line die cutting
•    Reliably set-up & clean-up printing jobs with minimal assistance
•    Maintain production at 95% of documented quota rates
•    Ability to align printing plates properly
•    Ability adjust center lines to maintain print quality
•    Adhere to documented Standard Operating Procedures 
•    Performs quality in line audit checks  
•    Performs press daily and weekly preventative maintenance
•    Takes care of daily shop clean ups and maintain 6S organization

Required Experience

•    Mechanical skills
•    Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience
•    Minimum 1years of flexographic printing experience 
•    Minimum 1 year of lean experience a plus
•    Able to lift 50+ LBS

Preferred Experience

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
