The Role

The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for the initiation and maintenance of standard work and other departmental procedures to achieve inventory integrity while also improving the Materials Group's overall Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives. The Senior Inventory Analyst is also responsible for the procurement of assigned product lines/commodities and managing the supplier base and products purchased from outside sources to conform to STERIS’ strategic partnerships, policies, procedures, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.

 

Regular Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm 

 

Hours During Training:  Four 9-hour days Monday – Thursday and ½ day on Friday!

 

What You Will Do

  • Monitor and maintenance of over 2,500 active part numbers and associated shop orders alone with variance reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain, evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in material requirements to drive down inventory levels.
  • Management of daily cyclical program and performs root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage and maintain inventory location integrity, assigned admin work centers, unplanned inventory transfers, and sub-inventory interface using Oracle.
  • Responsible for creating, measuring, disseminating, and presenting statistical data and variance reporting and analysis.
  • Coordinates Engineering Change Requests (ECN’s) to ensure stock balancing activities occur properly to eliminate slow moving/obsolete inventory and results in timely cut in of such changes.
  • Participate in the reduction and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Purchase product support inventory and/or non-inventory requirements as defined by forecasting. Ensure supply to meet business needs. 
  • Appropriately manage purchase order process including timely placement of orders, managing delivery dates, maintaining accurate order delivery dates, and expediting purchase orders to maintain material flow and provide customer requests. 

What You Will Also Do

  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve any issues with purchase orders and invoices. 
  • Develops and maintains standard work documentation and other procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Must resolve all inventory discrepancies to optimize inventory system errors.
  • Identify and resolve the disparity in manufacturing reporting variances.
  • Consistently initiates and contributes to improvements in our inventory and reporting systems and policies. Troubleshoots any issues.
  • Make inventory system adjustments to reflect the physical status of materials.
  • Approval of Standard Operating Procedures as relates to inventory control.
  • Oversee training for all inventory systems. 
  • Serves as a constant mentor through ongoing training and daily support.
  • Direct influence on overall inventory in finished products, and raw materials

Required Experience

  • Associate degree in business administration, and minimum of years of relevant experience 5 + years of experience in Warehousing, Material Planning, and accounting procedures, or High School Diploma / GED and Apex certification (or related discipline) with a minimum 6 years of relevant experience, required.  
  • MRP System experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office with Word, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Searches V Look Up) required.   
  • Cycle counting and knowledge of how to do investigations. 

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related fields, preferred with 4 years of experience in Warehousing, Material Planning, and accounting procedures.
  • Some experience training teams on inventory processes, preferred.  
  • Oracle or SAP experience, preferred.

 Pay range for this opportunity is $85,000 to $95,000.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
