WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Plant Scheduler role is a pivotal role in ensuring operational service delivery at our Gamma site. Core duties are to make sure all Customers products are efficiently scheduled to ensure maximum plant utilisation, while maintaining each Customers products are processed within specification and without deviation.
Working closely with the internal operational teams and our Customers, excellent communication and relationship skill sets are important for the role.
- To plan and schedule processing of Customers products to meet customer, quality, regulatory and safety requirements, whilst maximising processing efficiency.
- Ensure that the daily schedule for the plant is distributed to the shop floor, by the end of the day.
- To plan and schedule the plant to achieve the required outcomes in terms of dose specification and on-time delivery, thus satisfying Customer requirements.
- To achieve the above whilst maximising first pass yield and plant efficiency with regard to available cobalt activity and minimising the requirement to use ‘empty’ totes.
- Monitor flow of product through the plant, highlighting areas where backlogs exist and working with Operations leadership team to ensure these constraints are resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure Customers processed product is collected in a timely manner therefore keeping a good product flow through the warehouse.
- To maintain the “scheduling bible” – updating in a timely manner.
- To work closely with the Validation Technician to ensure products fit within the site core business portfolio.

- Perform weekly dose trending analysis and take preventative action to avoid any dose issues and discuss any potential speed changes with the Operations leadership team
- Review & maintain Reading Master Schedule data. Ensure all customer forecasts are up-to-date in the master schedule. Create a monthly PowerPoint presentation for the master schedule calls and lead the monthly Master Schedule calls with the appropriate members of the Commercial Team.
- Assist Operations leadership team to plan for major maintenance undertakings and plant loadings, through scheduling downtime that has least impact on contracted Customers.
- Work with the Admin team to ensure the accuracy of processing paperwork by reviewing incoming documentation and process packs prior to scheduling the run.
- Work with the Admin team to ensure that both you and the administration team support operations, quality and technical teams where necessary thus creating a teamwork culture that is proactive and has a positive mindset
- Liaise with the Commercial Team over queries relating to existing products, new potential work, process capability and any other areas
- Actively seek ways to improve the scheduling process to make the plant run as efficient as possible
