Position Summary

Responsible for inspection of components, sub-assemblies and finished products. Determine proper sampling plans based on specifications, inspection plans or customer supplied requirements. Certify quality and adherence to specifications.

Duties
  • Perform visual, dimensional examination (and functional testing where applicable) of all in-process and finished products.
  • Ensure valid inspection plans using analysis and correct sampling/frequency intervals.
  • Provide input for inspection methods and improvements relating to the position.
  • Create, review and update incoming and in-process inspection documentation that includes procedures, work instructions, forms, etc.
  • Assist in investigations of process related quality issues.
  • Write non-conforming materials reports as required.
  • Quarantine products rejected by quality.
  • Provide samples and verbal and written communication to quality and production management concerning required quality issues.
  • Complete electronic and written records with accuracy to ensure excellent results and continuous improvement including inspection reports, training records, equipment maintenance logs, continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action reports. Command functional and practical understanding of these records.
  • Support production activities and assist in ensuring production activities are compliant with applicable standards.
  • Assist in ensuring the timely calibration of test & measurement equipment.
  • Participate in discussions with quality representatives of the company’s critical suppliers.

Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum three (3) plus years’ experience in quality systems.
  • Excellent written skills including spelling and grammar
  • Highly organized, self-starter and deadline-driven
  • Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy
  • 3 or more years’ experience with quality in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 or more years’ experience with complaints management.
  • 3 or more years’ experience with customer service.
