Position Summary
This role will develop strategies and lead a professional services team to implement best practice for GI endoscope reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and comparable devices requiring high level disinfection. The candidate will create evidence based standard work to ensure quality outcomes for Customers and compliance to relevant standards and guidelines. As a subject matter expert, this individual will lead a publication strategy as required to support successful Customer adoption of the Reprocessing products and services.
In addition to leadership of the GI consultancy, this individual will work closely with the Product Development team to strengthen the development process for decontamination, high level disinfection or sterilization, drying and storage of endoscopes. The individual will train the team on methodologies to advance the understanding of practical impact of product design and de-risk the process. Support OEM engagement efforts to optimize the eco-system of product design and reprocessing success.
Duties
- Create playbook for consulting efforts to optimize quality in the Customer Endo reprocessing environment
- Train and lead clinical specialist team
- Communicate implications of both US and global standards for internal stakeholders including product development, clinical education, professional consultants, marketing
- Publish white papers and case studies that promote successful reprocessing through proper process and use of the Reprocessing portfolio
- Present at industry conferences as necessary
- Review post market data to enhance future product design
- Collaborate with Marketing to establish robust product requirements
- Conduct VOC for new Endoscopy products and services
- Support development of in-service and training materials during launch process
- Participate in NPD gate reviews
- Establish and lead training curriculum for Scientific and Engineering team to ground development efforts in real world challenges and opportunities
- Develop R&D standard work to promote Human Factors Success
- Participate in AAMI committees/working groups for topics related to flexible scope reprocessing
- Engage with OEMs to share insights promoting Customer reprocessing success
Education Degree
Required Experience
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in research and reprocessing.
- Publication in peer reviewed journals.
- Experience collaborating with Marketing and R&D to define standards development, product requirements, and launch strategies.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in developing and delivering training programs for technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal stakeholders across product development, marketing, and clinical education.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present at industry conferences and engage with external stakeholders including OEMs and regulatory bodies.
Preferred Experience
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in clinical consulting, medical device development, or healthcare quality improvement, with a focus on endoscopy or reprocessing environments preferred.
Pay range for this opportunity is $141,737.50 - $183,425.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
