Position Summary
The Inventory Control Supervisor reports to the Procurement Manager and provides the oversight and management of the sites Cycle Count process. The Inventory Control Supervisor will ensure the Cycle Count process standards are followed and the Cycle Count team members are fully trained and supported. The position will interface with operations, engineering, warehouse/logistics, finance and quality functions in the organization to support the business needs and Customer commitments. The Inventory Control Supervisor is also responsible for the initiation and maintenance of standard work and other departmental procedures to achieve inventory integrity while also improving the overall Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
This roles requires onsite work 5 days/week at our Plymouth, MN 605 facility. This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship or H1B Transfer.
What You'll do as an Inventory Control Supervisor
- Ensures timeliness and accuracy of inventory and inventory control activities by effectively managing the overall Cycle Count program.
- Maintains, evaluates, recommends, and implements process improvements opportunities to improve the organizations inventory accuracy performance.
- Oversee the inventory adjustment process in SAP and issue root-cause/counter-measure requests to ensure the process is effective and consistent.
- Work effectively with all functional teams inside and outside our organization to establish and maintain schedules and inventory levels to meet customer delivery needs.
- Provide leadership for the management of inventories and maintain total inventory dollar investments within established guidelines while improving the state of inventory investment while not affecting customer needs or negatively impacting costs, work to remove barriers to costs to manufacture.
- Participate in internal and external audits and follow-up with appropriate activities to mitigate future issues in areas shown to be at risk during the audit.
- Work effectively with all functional teams to develop and implement ECO’s according to our Quality System and documented policies and procedures.
- Responsible to work with others to develop improved ERP system capabilities.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; time and attendance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Supports development and management of departmental budget to include capital requirements.
- Using Lean Tools; identify, participate, and implement continuous improvement activities to impact departments overall quality, cost, and delivery initiatives.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field.
- Plus 4 years of experience with increasing responsibility in materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- OR High School Diploma/GED.
- Plus 8 years of experience with increasing responsibility in materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations, ERP/MRP systems, engineering and finance and the systems to support and integrate these functions.
- Requires an understanding and experience in Operational Excellence through Continuous Improvement using lean thinking and tools.
- Requires a demonstrated ability to achieve best total cost of ownership driven inventory strategies
Preferred
- 2 years of Lead and/or Supervisory experience in warehousing, domestic transportation, shipping/receiving or other operations/supply chain function.
- Certification as CPIM or CIRM.
- Lean Training.
- Strong ability to utilize a data warehouse to prepare internal reports along with ability to use Microsoft Excel to report data functionally from data downloaded from ERP system.
Other
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization both inside and outside the company.
- Must be able to summarize issues and present facts and when appropriate make recommendations to management as well as implement solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to follow up with tasks and issues along with demonstrated problem solving skills are essential.

Pay range for this opportunity is $74,500.00 - $104,212.50. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
