Position Summary:

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all warehouses, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods. This role oversees receiving material handling, storage, and distribution activities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.

 

The position requires close collaboration with Manufacturing, Planning, and Sourcing teams to ensure inventory accuracy, efficient flow of goods, and on-time order fulfillment. The Supervisor also manages recordkeeping and data integrity within warehouse systems and acts as a liaison between internal departments, transportation providers, and customers.

 

Schedule: 1st shift (7am - 3:30pm)

What You'll Do:

  • Establish structure by assigning responsibilities, delegating authority, and selecting, orienting, and training direct reports.
  • Communicate issues and priorities to team members and escalate to manager as needed.
  • Lead warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, motivating and disciplining as needed to maintain high employee morale and foster teamwork and cooperation.
  • Ensure work is performed according to SOPs and work instructions.
  • Ensure proper SAP/ERP transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including driver qualification files, and required certifications.
  • Maintain records of fleet maintenance, hours and ensure all vehicles meet DOT inspection requirements
  • Ensure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods
  • Contact carrier representative and complete all paperwork for internal and external logistics. 
  • Requisition and store warehouse supplies at designated levels.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jacks for material handling and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Responsible for warehouse safety, including safety related training, coaching, safety incident reporting and follow up.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping through practicing 5S and completing 5S audits of warehouse areas.  Establish and enforce procedures and set expectations for warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Strive for continuous improvement by analyzing new or alternative ways to improve the operation. Incorporate staff suggestions, investigate customer complaints, and deviations from standard work and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Back up all warehouse related areas of responsibility as needed. 

Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree (8yrs of expereince with HS Diploma/GED)
  • 4yrs of expereience of operations expereince (warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain)
  • 2yrs of operation team lead or supervisor experience
  • Functional aptitiude with MS packages, ERP, and Shipping systems
  • Thurough knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse operations
  • Ability to operate required tools and P.I.T. (power industrial tools) equipment

 

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment and implementing Lean practices
  • FDA and ISO 13485 quality system experience
  • Previous expereince working in a warehouse attached to production/manufacturing
  • Documented success championing new intiatives

Pay range for this opportunity is $72,675.00 - $94,050.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
