Position Summary

The Cybersecurity Engineer is a cybersecurity specialist working within the STERIS Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) department. In this role you will operate both independently and as part of a team to ensure our software, hardware, infrastructure, and related components are protected from cyber-attacks. This includes analyzing current systems for vulnerabilities and handling threats to our resources in an efficient and effective manner. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Cybersecurity technologies and in managing processes and technology across the global infrastructure. 

*This position offers a hybrid schedule both with regular time in the office as well as remote. You can be located in either Mentor/Cleveland, Ohio or Plymouth, Minnesota. 

Duties

•    Understand security and technology requirements related to the infrastructure technology products and business applications to subsequently translate those into a clear, consistent cybersecurity technology roadmap, build consensus in the infrastructure & operations organizations, influence leadership support to execute successfully and implement successfully.
•    Help drive implementation and administration of endpoint management, next-generation VPN, and internet protections across the organization.
•    Key contributor and implementor to provide solutions to meet zero trust initiatives within Infrastructure and Operations and the overall business.
•    Assist with evolving security posture in current Infrastructure & Operations offerings (I&O) into next generation capabilities.
•    Work in partnership with your peers and colleagues to ensure and implement a cohesive Security full tech stack at I&O platforms
•    Administer and Support Cybertechnology technology roadmaps as well as an implementation plan based on current vs. future state in a cohesive manner and in collaboration with your colleagues, peers, and adjacent service owners.
•    Perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management.
•    Create metrics and reporting capabilities to continuously identifies risk areas in I&O
•    Assist with driving new cyber security technologies and drive the implementations into the I&O platforms.
 

Required Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical degree with 4+ years professional work experience. 
•    Four years in administrating and implementing security solutions containing at least three of the following enterprise infrastructure technologies: compute, data center, operating systems, database, networking, security tools/cyber, automation, cloud, and engineering applications for on premise and off premise deployment.
•    In Lieu of Degree twelve years of professional work experience in administrating and implementing security solutions containing at least three of the following enterprise infrastructure technologies: compute, data center, operating systems, database, networking, security tools/cyber, automation, cloud, and engineering applications for on premise and off premise deployment.
•    Experience in the specific technology domain, with experience in requirements definition, solutioning, configuring, testing, or operationalization.
•    Experience in implementing orchestration\automation to isolate systems that pose risk to the organization.

Preferred Experience

•    Have worked in a global/multi-national organization in a shared services organization.
•    Has experience in working across large geographically distributed and diverse teams, matrixed into a larger overall IT organization.
•    Advanced vendor certification in an applicable technology domain
