How You Will Make a Difference:

As a member of Accutron, Now part of HuFriedyGroup a segment of Steris. The Technical and Sales Support Manager is responsible for providing sales and technical support for all equipment, including but not limited to: water filtration, nitrous oxide delivery systems and any other equipment platform/technology.  Another core responsibility is co-leading the North American Nitrous Oxide sales strategy. Includes supporting/managing the PSA independent sales team, implementation of the overall strategic direction of the nitrous oxide sales strategy and supporting international sales as needed.  Responsible for the annual sales forecast and expense planning and support for customer care and operations as needed

What You Will Do:

  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Advises the executive leadership team on the strategic growth needs of the division.
  • Participates in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the strategic business plan and performance goals, budgets, plans, programs, and policies.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical systems/technology to accurately diagnose any failure mode of our product portfolio and provide effective and timely solutions to customers.
  • Build productive relationships with equipment distributor management and distributor sales, PSA team and technical support teams. Actively train and coach new and/or existing team members on our product portfolio.
  • Develop training modules and troubleshooting guides for every technology offered by the company. Document most frequent or main failure modes by type of technology and their solutions and ensure all information is documented and easy to access and use by any employee of the company. Develop expert files for all our equipment.
  • Work with internal and external customers on troubleshooting issues they encounter and provide actionable solutions to resolve the problem promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Propose design improvements working with R&D to eliminate most common issues in the field. Suggest technical solutions and product modifications and evaluate feasibility and manufacturability with R&D and Production. Develop a reliable process to capture the accuracy of customer and field techs feedback.

What You Need to be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business; or equivalent 8+ years of proven work experience in technical sales and customer support area.
  • A minimum of 6 years in technical support experience, dental preferred. Must include customer or account management, as well as product management experience.
  • Clear understanding of dental distribution in both the merchandise and equipment function.
  • Ability to travel when requested up to 20-30% of the time to support key customers and sales teams.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching and development skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (e.g. ERP systems, Outlook, Access, Excel and Word)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to adaptable and flexible while working with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
